What is Glass Design
The study of Glass design, which is also known as ceramic designing, is a course that offers tremendous skills and experience in the field of art and creativity as well as designing to its students. The ‘glass designing’ course provides its students with a specialization in architecture designing, interior designing, and many others.

Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Glass Design
The eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are given below.
For undergraduate degree
The candidates must not be 20 years and above of age.The candidate must have completed 12th grade from a recognised board with a minimum score of 50% to 60%
For postgraduate degree
The candidates must not be more than 30 years of age.Aggregate marks of minimum 60% are required by almost all Institutions for this course of study.Candidates must have completed Bachelors in Design or any relevant course of study is recognised Institution or college.The eligibility criteria for the course of Ceramic/Glass design may differ among Institutions or colleges as per the needs and entrance exam scores.
Entrance Exams for Glass Design course
Admissions for glass design course are carried out by entrance tests of state and national level exams from various Institutes.
Institute Entrance Exam-
Institute entrance exams are carried out by respective institutes to get admission at the Institution for the study of Glass design. This type of entrance exam is conducted by the Institute alone and not national.
Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED)-
UCEED is a national level entrance exam conducted once every year by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. It is a computer-based online test for the admission of Bachelor of Design.
Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED)-
CEED is an entrance exam conducted once every year by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). It is a national level entrance exam for the admission of Masters in Design and PhD programmes offered by colleges with a CEED score.
National Institute of Design-Design Aptitude
Test (NID-DAT)-
NID Design Aptitude Test is a national level entrance exam which is an offline mode of exam conducted by National Institute of Design. It is conducted once in every year for admissions of bachelor’s in design, diploma in ‘Glass and Ceramic’ engineering (DGCE), and Master of Design. It consists of prelims and mains exams to clear the examination.
