Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Design
It is essential to be aware of the admission requirements to prepare beforehand. To take admission in either undergraduate courses or postgraduate courses, students need to remember the basic eligibility criteria. Some of the most common criteria for admission to many institutes include-
Eligibility Criteria UG Courses
To be eligible for undergraduate level courses, students must show a certificate of completing their 10+2 in any stream from a recognised education board.
The total aggregate percentage obtained in the 12th standard must not be less than 50 per cent.
Based on the institutes, candidates might be asked to clear additional rounds, including personal interviews or other criteria. Some universities also accept the Entrance Exam results.
Top Entrance Exams for UG Courses
NID Design Aptitude Test- The NID DAT is organised by the National Institute of Design in June. Students will be granted admission in both graduation and post-graduation courses related to Design
UCEED- This is an Online national level entrance examination conducted in January to grant admission into the various undergraduate courses of Design.
Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses
Completion of a graduation course from a recognised university is mandatory for admission in post-graduation Design courses.
The total aggregate marks scored in the Design graduation course should not be less than 55 per cent.
Students are required to have their graduation degree in either Design or other related subjects.
Other than the basic criteria, the institutes might have additional requirements based on the course selected.
Top Entrance Exams for PG Courses
CEED- The CEED exam is conducted in January by the Indian Institute of Bombay. The test is conducted to grant admission into master's courses in various IIT's across India and other institutes.
