NID DAT (National Institute of Design - Design Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design, India, for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate design programmes. The exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills in various design-related areas, including visualisation, observation, creativity, and problem-solving. The NID DAT exam consists of two parts - Prelims and Mains. The Prelims exam is a written exam that assesses a candidate's analytical and logical skills, visualisation skills, and creative ability. It includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and subjective questions. The Mains exam is conducted for candidates who qualify for the Prelims exam. It is a studio-based exam that assesses a candidate's ability to work with materials, space, and form, as well as their communication skills, design thinking, and problem-solving abilities. The Mains exam includes a studio test, a personal interview, and a portfolio review.


IIT UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) is an entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for admission to its Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programme. The exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills in various design-related areas, including visualisation, observation, creativity, and problem-solving. The UCEED exam consists of three parts - Part A, Part B, and Part C. Part A is a computer-based test that assesses a candidate's knowledge in the areas of Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Language and Creativity. The test consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type questions. Part B is a drawing test that assesses a candidate's drawing skills, creativity, and visualisation ability. The test consists of questions that require a candidate to draw or sketch objects or scenes. Part C is a subjective test that assesses a candidate's design and problem-solving skills. The test consists of questions that require a candidate to identify and solve design-related problems.


NIFT DAT (National Institute of Fashion Technology - Design Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology, India, for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate design programmes. The exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills in various design-related areas, including visualisation, observation, creativity, and problem-solving. The NIFT DAT exam consists of two parts - a Written Test and a Situation Test. The Written Test is a computer-based test that assesses a candidate's knowledge in the areas of Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, and General Knowledge and Current Affairs. It is a hands-on test that assesses a candidate's ability to create a three-dimensional model based on a given theme. The test is designed to assess a candidate's creativity, innovation, and design skills.


B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) entrance exam is conducted by various colleges and universities in India for admission to their undergraduate Architecture programs. The exam assesses a candidate's aptitude and skills in various areas such as mathematics, logical reasoning, drawing and observation skills, and general awareness. The B.Arch entrance exam typically consists of two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A includes objective type questions to evaluate the candidate's Mathematics and General Aptitude skills. The questions are usually based on topics such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and logical reasoning. Part B evaluates a candidate's drawing and visualization skills. The test typically requires candidates to draw objects, buildings, or scenes based on given instructions or situations. Some B.Arch entrance exams may also include a descriptive test, where candidates are required to write short answers or essays on architecture-related topics. Apart from the entrance exam, some colleges and universities may also consider the candidate's performance in a personal interview or group discussion round for admission to their B.Arch program.
